Gibson 460XE

The Gibson 460XE off-road caravan is the solution if you like off-road camping and need 2 to 5 sleeping places. This hybrid caravan stands on a very sturdy 'off-road' chassis and therefore offers more options than a traditional caravan. This way he doesn't turn his hand for a ride off the beaten track. And when you have found that nice place, the Gibson 460XE has enough equipment on board to function 'stand alone'. If you want to stay in one place for longer, you can set up the awning supplied as standard for even more living space.

This spacious 2-5 person caravan has great solutions for increasing the space. For example, the back has a 'fold-out' back wall. With a few simple actions, the back wall is moved almost a meter backwards. The lifting roof increases the height and with canvas between the roof and side walls, a good combination of ventilation and protection against the elements is ensured.

For extra comfort, there is the Dometic floor mounted air conditioning unit. This can cool off wonderfully on those hot days. When it is a bit colder, the Truma gas heating provides heated air and this Truma also provides hot water. With this you can also take a wonderful shower in the 'wet' room. The shower room is also equipped with a toilet, with an external access to the drain cassette.

The double bed has a 15 cm thick mattress with inner springs and faces north-south. This means that your partner does not have to be disturbed when getting out of bed.

A bunk bed has been placed in the front, between the front wall and the shower-toilet room. The bottom bed has a width of almost 1 meter, the top bed 0.6 meter.

The radio-CD installation is part of the standard equipment. In the control unit, at the entrance door, you will find the operation of the electrical installation and you can read how full the batteries and water tanks are. Various lighting switches have also been placed there, as well as the operation of the electrically extendable awning.

The entrance door is combined with a mosquito net door and fitted with a three-point lock. The fold-out windows are fitted with mosquito nets and blinds. In addition to the air conditioning unit, there are also roof hatches in the shower room and living area. The canvas, which sits between the lifting roof and the caravan, provides even more ventilation options.

To keep your food fresh, there is a large 80 liter dual zone fridge-freezer unit. If you want to prepare food, an extensive outdoor kitchen is at your disposal. You slide out this stainless steel unit, connect gas and water, turn up the tap and start cooking. With the four-burner gas stove, sink with hot-cold water tap, windshield, stock rack, cutlery tray and cutting tray, preparing food will not be a problem.

If you want to cook something indoors, there is a compact kitchen unit with sink.

Naturally, the Gibson is equipped with a CEE external connection for power supply. In addition to the power supply, the 2 x 100 ampere deep cycle batteries can also be charged by means of the charger converter. The 2 x 180 watt solar panels, permanently installed on the roof, also charge the batteries. There are 230 volt and 12 volt connections both inside and outside. Edge lighting is optional.

The chassis of the Gibson consists of hot-dip galvanized box profile, the cabin of fully welded aluminum profile with aluminum composite panels. The independent wheel suspension has coil springs and double shock absorbers. The Knott overrun braking device ensures a good connection to the towing vehicle. The nose weight is 140 kg, the empty weight is 2050 kg and the maximum total weight is 2950 kg. In order to brake properly, the Gibson is equipped with a Knott 3000kg overrun braking system.
